Throughout the duration of quarantine, many people have taken to gaming to find something to occupy their time with. Most notably, players have flocked to 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' for some time-consuming fun, and some even bought a Nintendo Switch console solely for that game. However, as good as the game is, eventually you'll want to find something else to play. Luckily for you, the Switch has tons of great games to choose from, so without further ado, here are just a few of my favorites that I recommend to anyone whose new to Nintendo's catalog and looking for something fun to sink their teeth into! Keep in mind that these are not your only options, but they're great ones to start with.

1. "Super Mario 3D All-Stars"

Whether you're new to the Super Mario franchise or a series veteran looking to revisit some old 3D classics, I couldn't recommend this collection more. "Super Mario 3D All-Stars" brings three fan-favorite Mario games - "Super Mario 64," "Super Mario Sunshine," and "Super Mario Galaxy" - to the Nintendo Switch, all of which have been remastered in HD for your viewing pleasure. Growing up, I was a huge fan of all three of these games, and I can't wait to dive back in for some good ol' fashioned platforming fun. Keep in mind that it's a limited release, so be sure to grab it while you can!

2. "Pokémon Sword" & "Pokémon Shield"

In this latest installment of the hit Pokémon franchise, travel the land of Galar as you catch, train, and battle Pokémon in hopes of becoming the new Champion! Each of the two games has its own differences, but both offer the same fun campaign and a plethora of places to explore and Pokémon to encounter. Both games also have two story expansions, one of which has already been released and one that is slated to release later this year. Whether your ambition as a trainer is to catch 'em all or simply to be the very best that no one ever was, "Pokémon Sword" and "Pokémon Shield" give you the means to chase your dreams with your Pokémon friends in tow!

3. "Splatoon 2"

To anyone on the lookout for some fast-paced competitive gameplay, this is the game for you! In "Splatoon 2," two teams face off in a turf war where whoever inks the most turf wins. There are tons of tools and weapons to choose from to tweak your play-style, and of course there's a variety of clothing options to customize your squid kid. Additionally, the game offers a single-player mode where you can tackle missions to unfurl a fascinating plot. Staaaaay fresh!

4. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild"

If you haven't already played "Breath of the Wild," now is the best time to get into it. With a sequel in the works and a spin-off right around the corner, it's a pretty great time to be a fan of this groundbreaking game. "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is a vast, open-world RPG full of intricate puzzles, thrilling combat, and a tear-jerking story to boot. Do you have what it takes to defeat Calamity Ganon and restore peace to Hyrule once and for all?

5. "Super Mario Maker 2"

This game is one of my all-time favorites, and it shouldn't be difficult to see why. In "Super Mario Maker 2," you're given the assets to create your very own levels in the style of Super Mario games! If level design doesn't strike your fancy, or if you're simply not in the mood to create, then dive into the massive catalog of games designed by other players! This game lets you live the best of both worlds as both a creator and a player, and it's nearly impossible to grow tired of it when there are limitless possibilities at your disposal. If you're looking for a game with longevity, look no further than "Super Mario Maker 2."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
