We've all had those days where we didn't wanna get out of bed and face the world. I know I've had those kind of days but the best thing I like to do to cheer myself up is watch a fun show on Netflix. If you are a college student sometimes it's necessary to take a break from all of the work and just relax with a nice show on Netflix, especially with finals sneaking around the corner. So to help lift your spirits, here are 5 shows on Netflix that will brighten up your day.

1. Fuller House

If you were a fan of the original sitcom, Full House, then this is the sitcom for you. I used to love Full House when I was younger so when I heard that the same cast was coming back in 2016, I almost peed my pants. What really threw me over the edge was the fact that the release date for the show was on February 26th... my birthday. Imagine the level of joy and overall excitement that I had. BEST. BIRTHDAY. EVER! But besides the fact that this show came out on my birthday, the kids on the show are hilarious, DJ, Stephanie and Kimmy are always magic together and you also get to see a little bit of Uncle Jessie, Uncle Joey, who actually came to SUNY Oneonta, the lovely Rebecca, and even Danny Tanner makes an appearance. It's a big family reunion minus Michelle.

2. House

Now this show actually has a special place in my heart. I love this show for a number of reasons but the number one reason why I love it is because of the main character, Dr. House. He is the greatest diagnostician in the country and he's known to always be right about everything. His level of sarcasm is perfect for me because I'm just as sarcastic as he is and it adds to the overall humor of the show. Now this show isn't always so happy and funny. It's more of a TV Drama but it always seems to brighten up my day.

3. Friends

Let's be honest. Who doesn't love Friends? It's a feel good show that will definitely cheer you up. What I love about Friends is the different situations that each character faces. You never know what's going to happen on this show. You could watch Rachel and Ross break up and get together for the millionth time or you can catch Phoebe singing on her guitar. The possibilities are endless. Each episode is unique and courageous. The comedy aspect of this show is top notch. It definitely lifts my spirit when I'm down.

4. Family Guy

I'm pretty sure I've seen every Family Guy episode ever made at least 5 or more times. This show never fails to make me laugh. The cultural references that this show makes literally makes me laugh every time. This is definitely a raunchy type of comedy so it's not for everyone. You have really got to be able to laugh at the jokes they tell. Not everything they reference is meant to be serious. It's a comedy after all but I love watching this show when I'm down.

5. Real Husbands of Hollywood

Last but not least, I love to watch Real Husbands of Hollywood when I'm down. This show is ridiculously funny. It's a comedic version of a reality show and it definitely gets a chuckle out of me every time I watch. I mean look at the cast! How could this show not be funny? You got Kevin Hart, Nick Cannon and even Robin Thicke. Kevin Hart alone is hilarious but when you give him comedic partners, get ready to laugh your a$$ off.

So these are the 5 Netflix shows that cheer me up when I'm down. I'm sure there are a bunch more to choose from. Just remember that sometimes it's always good to take a break from the real world for a good laugh.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
