Summertime means more time for sleeping, hanging with friends and of course more time for finding a new show to binge watch! Netflix is known for adding movies and television shows that many people love, but recently Netflix has been releasing their own series. The series that Netflix releases range from comedies, dramas, etc. Each series doesn't disappoint, in fact, these series are so popular that most people binge watch them within a week of them being released on Netflix.

So, are you wondering what all the hype is when it comes to Netflix original series? Well, you've come to the right place. Here's a list of five Netflix shows that you should be binge watching.

1. Marvel's Daredevil

"Daredevil" is based around the Marvel comics superhero, Daredevil. Set in the Marvel Comics Universe, this series is the first superhero series that Netflix released. It follows the life of Matthew Murdock, a blind lawyer who is trying to maintain his law firm with his best friend, all while being a vigilante at night. This series is filled with action, drama and even a little comedy. This show will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more.

2. Grace and Frankie

"Grace and Frankie" is a series about two women who got a surprise of a lifetime when they found out that their husbands were sleeping with each other. This series follows the lives of the two women as they move in together and create a friendship that is unique to say the least. This series will have you laughing till your sides hurt!

3. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt


"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" follows the life of 29-year-old Kimmy as she moves to New York City after being held hostage in a bunker for 15 years. You follow Kimmy as she adjusts to life after the 90s while meeting new people along the way. This series is strictly comedy and it will have you cracking up joke after joke!

4. Marvel's Jessica Jones


"Jessica Jones" follows the life of a former superhero who decides to open her own private investiagtor agency. Jones tries to rebuild her life by taking on cases and trying to help people with their tricky situations. Jones gets sucked into a case that brings her back to a familar "friend." This series will take you on an interesting journey and leave you wanting more.

5. Peaky Blinders

"Peaky Blinders" is based on the Birmingham, England gang called the Peaky Blinders. This series is set in 1919 and goes in depth on the gang and their members all while creating storylines that are interesting and captivating. You will truly feel like you are stepping into the 1900's when watching this show.

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
