5 Must-See Country Artists In Summer 2016

If you're like me, country music is the background noise to your entire summer. You're probably a repeat offender of rolling the windows down, blaring your local country radio station, and singing extremely off-key, all while driving through your small town. (It's okay, you aren't alone.) Our favorite artists mostly sing about love, beaches, beer, and good times with family and friends, which pretty much sums up summer's beauty. If you love listening to it, then seeing it live is an experience to be had. There really is nothing like a country concert, and the atmosphere is unexplainably different than any other concert you'll attend. In no particular order, here's a list of some of the top country artists that will be touring during Summer 2016 and some of the top/upcoming names touring with them.

1. Keith Urban - "ripCord" World Tour (with Brett Eldredge)

Keith Urban's been active in the music world for over 25 years, and I think that his work is timeless. He has such variety in his songs, as far as sound goes, and I personally jam to "Somewhere in My Car". Brett Eldredge is still a newer artist with his first hit single "Don't Ya" in 2012, but his newest single "Drunk on Your Love" is at the top of the charts right now. He performed for Darius Rucker's "Southern Style" tour that I attended last year, and he's a great performer.

2. Zac Brown Band - "Black Out the Sun" Tour

Zac Brown Band has some of the most classic country music with most of them revolving around summer. It's the best music to listen to while hanging out at the beach, and "Knee Deep" is pretty much the anthem to that. They have produced numerous hits, and I've heard that they're unbelievable live.

3. Luke Bryan - "Kill the Lights" Tour

Luke Bryan is one of the top country music artists in the past few years, with countless hit singles. His view on love and life is truly relatable in all of his songs. Let's be real though, who wouldn't want to see his gorgeous rockstar self in concert?

4. Dierks Bentley - "Somewhere on a Beach" Tour

Dierks Bentley has been active in the music industry for a little over a decade, and he has a wide range of songs. He has some songs that are borderline rock, but he also has a ton of love songs that are to die for. He's known for producing such a fun live show.

5. Darius Rucker - "Good for a Good Time" Tour (with Dan + Shay)

I saw Darius Rucker's "Southern Style" tour last summer, and it was easily the best concert I've ever been to. The vibe from the crowd was unbelievable, and he puts on such a good show. He's a very down-to-earth and soulful gentleman. In addition, Dan + Shay are a duo that are up and coming with their singles "Nothin' Like You", which topped country music charts in 2015, and "From the Ground Up", which was released in February and currently making its way up the charts.

All of these artists produce successful music, so good luck deciding which one to see live! I know I'm struggling to decide.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
