If you're like me, you love to shop but have almost no dollars. I have the solution for your empty wallet...actually I have five solutions. They are the five must-have apps on your phone to make and save money. I use these apps on a regular basis and can honestly tell you that they work, but only if you use them. So get out your phone, start downloading and start saving!

1. Vinted- Buy, Sell, Swap

Vinted is one of my all time favorite apps for buying, selling and swapping clothes. If you are ready to spring clean out your closet, consider posting some of your gently used and unwanted clothing to Vinted. You'd be surprised how fast your clothes will sell and there are plenty of users that are selling gently used clothing for a great price. For example, I bought a long floral skirt last week from Vinted and I have received so many compliments. Little do they know I bought it off of a girl from Michigan for less than a cup of coffee.

2. iBotta

You've probably seen so many ads for the rebate app, iBotta and wondered if you actually make money from this app. The answer is you do! iBotta gives you cash back for everyday purchases but it only works if you use it. Before you go out shopping, check out the current rebates on the app. I've been using it for a few months now and I've already made $20. It's not a lot but it is something and I can cash it in for gift cards or deposit it right into my bank account. Interested? Download the app and use my referral code dubbcfd and we can make money together.

3. Walmart Savings Catcher

This is Walmart's best-kept secret that's not-so-secret. On Walmart's app, there is a Savings Catcher that lets you scan your Walmart receipt and Walmart searches around to find out if you paid the lowest amount for the products you bought. If they find a lower price at a nearby store, they pay you the difference. You can save the money you earn in your Walmart account and use it for future purchases at the store.

4. Target Cartwheel

Target is a store of absolute amazingness and their Cartwheel app makes your shopping experience even greater! As you shop, scan the products on Target's Cartwheel app to get anywhere between 5-30% select products. Combine this app with coupons for even bigger savings.

5. Retail Me Not

If you are an avid online shopper like me, then you need Retail Me Not in your life. Before you make any...and I mean ANY online purchase, check to see if there are promo codes on Retail Me Not. You can end up saving a ton of money.

Have any suggestions for more money-saving and making apps? Leave them in the comments and share the wealth.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
