If you paid attention to any of the FW 2017 fashion shows, then you'd have noticed that there were quite a few common threads (pun intended). Unfortunately, not all of the trends were very wearable for the average American woman. I've picked out 5 of my favorite fall 2017 trends that almost anyone can rock.
1. Suits
Suits and office wear of all kinds are in vogue this season, but I've noticed a surplus of striped and checkered patterns in particular. If this seems too dressy for you, don't fret! You can always wear a blazer over a white tee and jeans.
2. Red, Red, and More Red
As you may have noticed, the staple color of this fall is red. If you're not willing to shell out a bunch of cash for a trend, then wearing a classic red lip with a neutral colored outfit is always a viable option.
3. Trench Coats
Personally, I believe that there's never a season when trench coats aren't stylish, but this season has been exceptionally good to this classic wardrobe staple. I got mine from Target. https://www.target.com/p/women-s-hooded-trench-coa... Tip: Always check Target for shoes and clothing; their items are adorable and affordable.
4. Shearling
Shearling is the it texture of the season. I've seen shearling everything lately, and I've been loving it. This trend really aides in the transition from fall to winter, and let's not forget its versatility. I managed to find a gorgeous shearling coat from Uniqlo. https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/women-faux-shearling-...
5. Florals
No matter what season or year, florals usually play a part in the trends, be it one form or another. However, this year they were particularly prominent among runway shows and retail stores alike. I adore this gorgeous floral jumpsuit from Target: https://www.target.com/p/women-s-velvet-jumpsuit-x...
