School is always one big stress ball for many students. If we're not worrying about a big test or homework, it's some project or presentation we have coming up.
Amidst all this stress, there are those people who either don't eat because they're too busy to fix themselves something or there are those people who grab the quickest thing they can find, which usually comes in a packaged good.
Either way, it's unhealthy and we know it. I recently fell victim to both. I would either not eat because I was so busy with classes and studying, or I would eat something I knew my body would regret later. When I finally realized this pattern of unhealthy eating, I figured I would make more of an attempt to eat healthier and find ways to do so.
So, in light of that, here are some quick, but delicious snacks that won't leave you feeling hungry.
1. Apples and Peanut butter
Apples are healthy and with a little amount of peanut butter, you have the greatest snack of all time! I mean, isn't the saying, "An apple and some peanut butter a day, keeps the doctor away?"
2. Parfait
Yogurt with some nuts and fruit is always my go to in the morning or lunchtime if I'm feeling busy or on the go! Just add a few almonds/walnuts and some blueberries (or any of your favorite berries!) and you're in for a sweet treat!
3. Hummus and Pita Chips
Hummus and pita chips are always my go-to for a quick lunch if I'm feeling too busy to fix myself something else! Even eating hummus with some carrots or celery is just as delish too!
4. Veggie Wrap
I know it may seem like a lot of work, but trust me, whipping up a veggie wrap when you're on the go is easy as 1, 2, 3! Grab some wheat or spinach wrap, add your favorite hummus spread, and top it with some carrots, bell peppers, and cucumbers and you're all set!
5. Chips and Salsa
Chips and salsa are always my go-to, but it can become unhealthy when you eat more chips than salsa or vice versa. The trick is to get the right chips and salsa and you're set. Making my own salsa is my favorite thing to do since its easy and delicious! Cut some onions, tomatoes, corn and add some lime, and voila! You've got salsa.
