New Year's Resolutions. They are a great idea. It's important to have goals and work hard to attain them. However, just like most of the world, college kids typically have the same resolutions every year, and by the end of the year (or semester), each resolution has been thrown in the garbage. Don't be ashamed if you chose one of these resolutions, we're all going to fail at achieving them together.

1. I'm going to stay on top of my school work the entire semester.

2. I'm going to eat healthy and go to the gym every day.

3. I'm going to party less and focus more on my academics.

4. I'm going to stop spending money on useless things.

5. I'm going to figure out what I am doing with the rest of my life.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
