Not even Gossip Girl rumors could keep them apart.

5 Things Chuck And Blair Taught Me About Love

All hail the queen of scandalous TV series. That’s right, "Gossip Girl" here (I’ve always wanted to say that). One of the most iconic TV shows of the mid 21st century made girls everywhere tingle with delight when they heard the phrase, “I’m Chuck Bass.” And simultaneously cringe when they heard Blair Waldorf comment on last years Tory Burch flats. Somehow throughout the series, Chuck and Blair’s equally strong personality’s clash but tie together in the most incredible love story besides Romeo and Juliet, except with less dead people. Their love taught me some things I never thought id learn from a television show.

1. Love doesn’t always come easy.

If anyone knows this, it’s Chuck and Blair. They dealt with more cheating, lying, and scandal than any one on the show. From Chuck’s crazy dad to Blair’s almost marriage to a lunatic royal, they pushed through it all to be together. And that wasn’t even the half of it.

2. Love doesn’t always come natural.

This was bad....

Let us reminisce on Season 1 Chuck Bass. He made being a perv look easy. And not to talk about how wack his fashion sense was. Completely not Blair Waldorf material. What eventually drew them together was their love of medaling in other people’s lives. How romantic.

3. Love can make you do crazy things.

Remember when Chuck disappeared in Europe for a summer? Yeah, neither does he. And when Blair went wild with Carter Baizen after one of their many break ups? That was a little scary for me to see poised Blair turn into crazy, ruin her old life Blair.

4. Love knows no bounds.

The whole Blair, Prince Louie, Chuck’s baby situation. Super rough time. When Chuck and Blair finally decide to be with each other and raise their child, tragedy strikes. The car wreck was an episode that caused many hearts to break, including mine. When Blair lost the baby and Chuck almost died, tears were shed.

5. Love always wins!

I'm sorry. I'm just obsessed.

In the end, Chuck and Blair get married in a small wedding while Chuck is being chased by the cops, in true Bass form. I could talk about Blair’s dress for ages. There are people on this earth that are just meant to be, like Chuck and Blair.

Yes, I will always be waiting for my very own Chuck Bass. Minus the drama and scandal. Like I said before, it’s seriously crazy what you can learn from a tv show, especially about love. Don’t you just love love?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
