It's summer time. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and you're blaring your stereo trying to tune out the sound of said birds chirping. However, it's impossible to listen to the radio without hearing the same 7 songs played over and over again. Have no fear, I am here to help. Here are five artists who should taking up space in your playlist this summer.

1. Kevin Garrett

Ever have those days where you just want to listen to sad music over and over again? Well Kevin Garrett is the artist that you need to be listening to. Garett will have you feel things you didn't want to feel, and you will want to listen to him over and over again.

2. Bastille

Although many have probably heard their song, "Pompeii", they are definitely a band that people need to check out more. They will have you banging on your steering wheel and belting out their lyrics in the middle of rush hour traffic.

Who doesn't love a good English rock band? If you like bands such as You Me At Six, Yellowcard, or We Are The In Crowd, then you for sure needs to check these guys out.

So not only do these two guys create amazing music, they also take some of the top songs on the radio and put their own twist on it for their YouTube channel. You'll be swooning after watching one of their videos.

If you like to dance, then this is the band for you. Their music will have you up and wanting to dance all the way to the beach. They are the perfect band for a sick summer playlist.
