I love apps.
At this moment, I have about 80 applications downloaded on my iPhone. I even have them all organized into specific folders that keep them in order and make it easy for me to find. Despite all the apps that I have, I rarely use about half of them. Like many people out there, I spend most of my time in just a handful of the apps I have.
There are tons of great apps out there, but these are the five most important ones to me that I can not live without.
1. Twitter
Twitter is one of the easiest apps to use and it is the best app for breaking and developing news. It is also great to just follow the people you care about like your friends from high school or college. While following your friends, it is easy for you to check up on them and to see what they are up to. The more people you follow, the more interesting things you will come across like videos and other links. As someone who's always interested in what is important and what is going on, Twitter is a must!
2. Google Maps
Google Maps is one of the best mapping and navigation apps out there right now. Every jump in the car and not know exactly where you're going? No need to worry when you have Google Maps! You can get directions is less than a minute to wherever you are going. Google Maps is also great for finding and discovering new shopping areas or restaurants.
3. Facebook
Want to see what everyone is up to or share your photos with your family? With Facebook, you can do just that. Facebook is a great app to keep in touch with others, share with others, and keeping a journal. Facebook can prove an invaluable way of keeping in touch with friends and family you otherwise would not see. Whether is it's a cousin that lives on the other side of the country or an old high school friend that's moving to the next city.
Facebook also enables you to hear about real-life events and gatherings you might miss out on if you did not have social media. Facebook is also a place where you can share if there is something big happening in your life. This app is quick, free, and a convenient way of letting your friends and family know about what is going on.
4. Uber
Uber will quickly and efficiently get me to anywhere I want to go. Uber drivers tend to be very friendly and they drive very safe. In the end, it is more convenient than calling a friend to drive you somewhere when they might be far away. It's a cheaper and more convenient experience.
5. Spotify
There are plenty of music steaming services out there right now, but Spotify is hands down the best one. It has a huge library like many other services, but Spotify sets itself apart from any other music streaming site. It offers different ways to browse different genres and artists you might like, but Spotify goes one step further and delivers you a personalized playlist of music you like! My music library would be nothing without Spotify.
