Pick out your favorite outfit.

Maybe you prefer to wear sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt. Or maybe you prefer to wear leggings and an oversized sweater. That is up to you. Wearing comfy clothes for the day and clothes that you like will make your day 10x better. Make sure you wear shoes that can get wet because, obviously, since it is raining, they will get wet. Maybe let you hair loose and let it get a little wet for the day. With curly hair, the wetter the better, so I personally like to wear it down during rainy wet days. Please, do not be that person that wears shorts and a t-shirt because we all know what will happen with that. A lot of complaining, and that is not what anyone wants.

Start your morning off with coffee because you can never go wrong with coffee.

Wake up a little earlier if you are going to school or work. Get dressed, maybe put on some makeup, or maybe you prefer just to take your time in the morning with a nice warm shower before you go out in the cold of the weather. It may make the difference in your day from bad to good. Ice coffee, hot coffee whatever suites your likings. Now we all know since it is fall now that means, pumpkin everything. Maybe get yourselves to starbucks and get a nice hot pumpkin spice latte and make your life a little basicer.

Wear cute rain boots.

You know all those stars and celebrities who wear the cutest rainboot possible and they pull them off so easily. That’s what you should do, wear cute hunter boots or boots with little ducks on them, but personally I like the ones that have crocodiles. Now i know if i wore it to school that i would get the weirdest looks, but they are so cute. Kids definitely get the cutest rainbots. But, real talk right now, it is never too early or too late to wear hunter boots. They are an all year thing. It's raining? Hunter boots. It's snowing? Hunter boots. Its 100 degrees? Hunter boots. You catching my drift?

Bring a blanket with you in the car.

Rain or not, if it’s cold a blanket is the way to go. I will go to school before it’s light out so i bring a blanket with me because my car doesn’t warm up that fast. It’s nice to have something to put around you will driving because even if it’s not warming you up that much, it still makes you feel like your still warm in your bed. It’s always handy to to have one in your car, because if you make the rash decision to go to a football game or something outside and it gets cold, well all you have to do is grab your warm blankets. Therefore, it's good for everything.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
