1. Collecting your hotel’s toiletries.

We all have to stay in a hotel every now and then, so why not take some things with you! They already have to throw away the shampoo, soaps, and tissues you don’t use, so why not take those with you? The travel size of shampoo and soap will be useful when you travel next time. You can even put the toiletries in your guest bathroom for when you have company stay over! But, please folks, leave the tv remote and light bulbs in the hotel room! (But don’t be like Ross and let the shampoo leak in your suitcase!)

2. Ask for free samples and customer loyalty cards from restaurants, and stores!

We all have our go-to favorite restaurant, so why not ask if they have a customer loyalty program? Many places give a free meal or even a discount after so many visits! Also, if you have a store you always shop at, ask if they carry free samples of products! Make sure to ask if they have a loyalty card program too! Sometimes it is as simple as providing an email address in order to receive discounts, samples, and loyalty rewards! Because after all, the word FREE should be your favorite word!

3. “I’ll take my venti with light ice, please.”

When ordering at a place that makes your beverage for you, such as Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks or any fast food chain, ask for light ice. This ensures you get more beverage and less of a cup full of just ice! Hey, you’re already paying for that overpriced iced coffee, might as well get more of it!

4. Take a doggie bag home!

When you are out at your favorite eating place, do you always make a happy plate? If you don’t, then ask for a to-go box! Left over food makes for a great midnight snack or lunch at work the next day! Why waste food that wasn’t cheap to begin with? This will help get the most out of your dining out!
