In a few weeks the most exciting time of any college student's life will soon arrive. And that is winter break. The winter break is a time when colleges are closed and students go home for a month of relaxation with ABSOLUTELY no thoughts of exams, quizzes, tests, or projects. During this month long vacation, many students spend their time binge watching Netflix, playing video games, and catching up on all the Kardashian drama. However instead of wasting your month-long break being lazy, try one of the following suggestions and perhaps it could lead to a fun and productive break.
- Clean out your closet and get rid of junk you don’t need!
Winter break would be a great time to stop holding onto that t-shirt you used to wear, just let it go. Donate unneeded gently used items to charity so someone else can enjoy them the same way you used to.
- Volunteer at a charity or organization.
Find charities near you that interest you and try volunteering. Look for something that will keep you engaged and fun and it could be a very rewarding experience.
- Spend some quality time with your family.
While it's good to see your friends, it is more important to hang out and bond with your family. Go for a walk with your dad, take your siblings to the movies. Who knows? Maybe you will learn something new and creating amazing, lasting memories.
4. Pick up a new hobby.
Try something you’ve never done before, get out of your comfort zone. Try knitting, golf, learning American Sign Language, learning how to read stocks, etc. The possibilities are endless, pick a task and GO for it.

In the wise words of Shia Labeouf “JUST DO IT!!!”
Have a wonderful Winter Break!
