To many people baseball seems boring, but to me a baseball game is one of the most beautiful things there is. And spending the day at a baseball game is one of the best ways to spend a day in my opinion. There are plenty of reasons to go to a baseball game but I think I’ve got four really good ones.

First off is the experience. A baseball game, with your friends or parents or significant others, is just a fun place to be. Many newer baseball stadiums are very fan friendly, with many things you can do, and built so that you can walk around and still watch the game from all around. Places like Safeco Field in Seattle, Miller Park in Milwaukee, and Globe Life Park in Arlington have all been very fun experiences when I’ve been there. Wrigley Field and Fenway park were really fun as an avid baseball fan, but they aren’t the most fan friendly places to go. Getting to spend times with people like you is a pretty cool part too.

Second is the food. Sure non of it is going to be very healthy but a lot of places have some delicious and very interesting options to try out. The Houston Astros offer fans a chicken and waffle cone, a waffle cone filled with fried chicken, mashed potatoes and honey mustard. The Chicago White Sox have parmesan garlic waffle fries. The Texas Rangers have fried sm’oreos and the Milwaukee Brewers have nachos on a stick. Like I said none of it is healthy, “not healthy” is actually most likely an overstatement. But who cares? If you go to a few baseball games a year trying these ridiculous, and probably delicious, options is just a fun treat.

Third is depending mostly on what time of year you go, you get a reason to go sit out in the sun for a couple of hours. Other than if you go to a game in Tampa Bay you get a reason to spend part of the day enjoying yourself in some beautiful weather.

Lastly, and best of all, you get to watch baseball! I love baseball so for me this part is the absolute best. Baseball is a beautiful game with many intricacies within every pitch. The one on one battle that goes on every time the pitcher throws a pitch. Like I said I know baseball seems boring to a lot of people but if you give it a chance and really watch the game wanting to love it then I bet you will, just like I do.

Look spending a day in the sun with your friends already sounds like a pretty good thing to me, and in that you get to watch baseball and it becomes the makings of a great few hours. There are plenty of reasons to go to a baseball game and I promise that you’ll enjoy it every time.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
