Warning: Spoilers ahead!

It's that time of year again, folks! On September 22nd, "Grey's Anatomy" premiered it's 13th season. Just as we suspected, Shonda Rhimes kept our heart rates up as our favorite characters went through some traumatizing stuff (mainly Alex...). Here are 38 thoughts I had while watching the first episode of one of the greatest shows ever created.

1. Oh boy, here we go.

2. Roommate: Where’s McDreamy? Me: WE DON’T TALK ABOUT IT.

3. Wow, what a recap. So emotional. It's been too long, Grey's.

4. Come on, this is ALEX. Baby-holding, heartbeat-steadying, kid-loving ALEX.

5. Roommate: MEREDITH, you idiot! That’ll never work.

6. Roommate: Meredith looks old and sad.

7. Oh Jo, no no no. It’s not your fault.

8. When Richard is, once again, the most oblivious one in the room.

9. Aww, Maggie really cares about Deluca.

10. This is really, really bad. But not as bad as Izzie intentionally cutting the LVAD cord, Meredith holding a bomb in a person, or a live shooter raging through the hospital. Eh.

11. TBT to when Meredith and Alex were 2/5 interns.

12. RIP George. Still not over it.

13. This is way too stressful. Can we get a scene in the baby room, please?

14. Who even knew an eye could be paralyzed? Always learning so much with this show (*real doctors and nurses cringe*).

15. Why is nobody talking about April? She literally just had a C-section in her kitchen.

16. Me trying to explain the difference between Derek and Jackson to the roommates: One is (was) McDreamy and one has dreamy eyes. It's simple. Keep up.

17. What do all y'all smart doctors think is going to happen when Deluca wakes up? Will he say Alex slipped in the rain too?!? Ugh, stop.

18. BRB sobbing because they need to be together.

19. Shonda, seriously why you gotta rip my heart out like that AGAIN?

20. Why do I keep coming back for more?!

21. Man, that accent is really working for Nathan.

22. Remember when Alex used to be a jerk like a billion years ago? But now he's good, WE SWEAR.

23. FINALLY ALEX LISTENS. About time, bro.

24. *SMH* I don’t like where this is going one bit.

25. First Dr. Webber life lesson of the season–-check.

26. He’s AWAKE! Praise the lord. Is it bad that all I care about is if there's hope for Alex?

27. Honestly, so many things could be avoided if these characters would just listen to each other. *Sigh*

28. Ah, "Grey's Anatomy" soundtrack is always killing it.

29. It sucks to fess up, but good work Alex. Proud of you.

30. Feels, so many feels.

31. It’ll be okay Alex; you've got this.

32. #Jo&Alex4ever -- if not, I quit. For real this time, Shonda!

33. LOL where are Amelia and Owen and is anyone still at their wedding?

34. Scratch that--Mer is now the last standing intern. Well then.

35. “Best to keep the past in the past” –- there is literally so much past, Mer. Like 12 seasons worth.

36. Okay, try not worry, Alex. So many people should have lost their doctor jobs during this show, but at Grey-Sloan they continue to work!

37. Speaking of, Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan–-moment of silence for the deaths I'll never get over.

38. “The future is ours to choose”-- you’re darn right, Mer. And therefore, I'll choose to watch this stressful, addicting, beautiful, wonderful show every Thursday for the rest of season 13.

This episode was definitely different than the usual Grey's. While dramatic, it was a bit too stressful for my liking. Sure, it could be argued that the show's best moments are behind them, but that doesn't mean I love the show any less. Long live Grey's!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
