35 Thoughts You Have While Sitting In Class

Day in and day out, college students across the nation have the same thoughts while sitting through their courses. Here are just a few:

1. Did you seriously take my seat again?

2. I should've stayed home like the other half of my class.

3. If my professor isn't here one minute after class is supposed to start, can I leave?

4. Great, my professor is here.

5. Dear computer, please stall my professor for about 50 minutes with technical difficulties.

6. Or don't— whatever.

7. There's homework due today? Since when?

8. No, I will not read the chapter.

9. Excuse me while I take a quick class-long nap.

10. I promise I'm paying attention...

11. To Twitter.

12. And Pinterest.

13. That's multitasking, and my professor should be proud.

14. Can that count as the homework I didn't turn in?

15. Could you make this class exciting?

16. Pop quiz? No thank you.

17. I just failed that.

18. Test next week? I haven't even learned anything.

19. I feel like I've been in here forever.

20. Only 10 minutes? Lies.

21. Why do I even need this class?

22. Can you not call me out to answer a question I clearly don't know?

23. Why did I sign up for back-to-back classes?

24. I can't sit still this long.

25. Is class over yet?

26. I think I'm going to take a bathroom break...until the end of class.

27. Why is attendance mandatory?

28. I should be more of a rebel like the kid that's never in class.

29. But I like As and the thought of graduation.

30. Almost there, I can do this!

31. Stop, class is over, let me go!

32. I did not sign up for an extra five minutes, sir.

33. No, I'm still not reading the chapter.

34. FREEDOM!

35. Hold on, what did he talk about today?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
