Thanksgiving break was spent binge-watching Netflix, sleeping, eating and more eating. Since the majority of us did nothing that required using our brains, getting back into a routine is rough. Around this time, everything seems to speed up while you slow down. Everyone is sick, tired and completely done with the semester. The thought of final exams being just two weeks away is enough to make anyone cry. To make things worse for yourself you spend the weeks prior to your five exams doing absolutely nothing to make finals week easier, nice plan!

A little procrastination is normal before a big test or a 10-page essay, but the season of finals takes procrastination to a whole new level. You usually end up doing things you would never in a million years do, like cleaning or reading...for fun. Regardless of how you choose to waste your time, there is no worse feeling than leaving everything until the last possible minute.

Here are 35 things that you WILL end up doing in order to procrastinate your dreaded finals.

1. Binge watching an entire Netflix season

2. Power cleaning your apartment

3. Making Pinterest dinners every night

4. Reorganizing your closet

5. Going to the gym

6. Watching hours of pointless Facebook videos

7. Eat everything in sight

8. Going through old pictures on your phone

9. Napping when you have no right or time to

10. Deleting old emails

11. Reading the book that's been in your drawer for months

12. Doing laundry

13. Online shopping

14. Folding laundry

15. More Netflix

16. Write an article about procrastinating

17. Rearrange your room

18. Vacuum your whole apartment

19. Stalk people on Facebook

20. Stalk people on Instagram

21. Straighten your hair

22. Paint your nails

23. Pluck your eyebrows

24. Make a list of everything that needs to be done

25. Stare at your textbooks

26. Practice your makeup skills

27. Braid your hair or your roommates

28. Attempt to start new habits

29. Search for things you lost months ago

30. Make a bucket list

31. Try to solve life problems

32. Make a Pinterest craft

33. Re-watch shows you've seen too many times ("Friends," "The Office," "OTH")

34. Take another shower

35. Go to bed and do it all again tomorrow.

We all know that work doesn't get done until the night before the test when it's 10:30 pm, you have four chapters to read and you can't stop hating yourself for all that time you wasted procrastinating. There's always next semester!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
