Yeah, it will probably hurt.

Getting a new tattoo is an amazing feeling! It's exciting to decorate your body, whether it's with something fun and random, or meaningful and thought out. Either way, you're likely going to walk away with something completely unique.

As unique as a new tattoo can be, just about everyone will experience the same thoughts during the process. We consider the same things, ask the same questions, and heavily sigh as we hand over the wad of cash to pay for it. From session set up to aftercare, everyone's thinking the same things.

1. I can't wait to get my new tattoo!

2. It's probably gonna hurt though...

3. Stop psyching yourself out! It'll be fine.

4. On goes the stencil...

5. Does it look good there? Will it look stupid? Oh, God.

6. Yeah, it's fine. Let's get the show on the road.

7. They're setting out a lot of ink. Will it really take that much?

8. Aaaaaand there's the needle.

9. It's getting dipped in the ink. Deep breath now.

10. Oh, this isn't so bad.

11. Wait, ow, that line kind of hurt.

12. It's fine, just keep breathing.

13. NOPE THAT'S ACTUALLY PAINFUL RIGHT NOW.

14. Nevermind.

15. NEVERMIND.

16. I hope I'm not hurting my friend's hand right now.

17. How far along are we? I need to know when my discomfort will end.

18. It's all a necessary evil, I guess.

19. THAT HURTS AGAIN.

20. Oh... I'm done.

21. Why does wiping it with so little pressure still hurt?

22. Oh my God. It's beautiful.

23. Oh yeah... that's how much it cost.

24. Can't forget to tip!

25. Cleaning this at home now, I realize how much I bled.

26. The ointment is so cold!

27. I just hit it on accident. This is the end for me.

28. I hope I won't regret this...

29. Nah, it's beautiful and I love it.

30. Now when's the next one?

It's expensive, it's painful, but, in the end, it's so worth it to see a new patch of ink adorn our skin for the rest of our years.

Always remember to follow aftercare guidelines and always tip your artist for their hard work.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
