If only I could go back to the days of aimlessly walking my way through frat land— Don't listen to all the negative things you hear about frats because it's solely up to you how much you make of it, and how smart you are about it. Like many, but more so if you go to a big school, most of your reckless and delinquent— yet most fun nights, have fraternities to thank for it.

Looking back and I'll be honest, I totally took these nights for granted. I made some of my best friends in this atmosphere and want to know the craziest part? I wasn't even in a sorority. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday quickly became my absolute favorite days of the week, and I promise those days will soon become yours. You're going to learn a lot about yourself, others, and the social side to college.

Until you keep walking and pick a house with a probable ratio in hand, this whole adventure is going to be so unbelievably new to you— especially if you aren't used to this type of shenanigans. Even if you "partied" in high school, you're still nowhere near prepared.

Here are 30 things every rookie college girl needs to know so she can conquering the "fratting" way of life:

1. If there's a theme, embrace it, but don't go overboard.

2. Dress hot but not like a thot.

3. Don't make out with every boy you see.

4. If you can't help yourself, at the very least, don't be THAT girl to sleep with everyone.

5. Have a designated walker because...

6. If someone dances with you, don't be shook if you see them dancing with someone else 20 minutes later.

7. Putting your drink down is an important party no-no, don't trust anyone.

8. Become friends with all the brothers.

9. Elevated surfaces are not that elevated and lots of girls, including myself, have scars to prove it.

10. Clean bathrooms do not exist.

11. Be prepared to pee with no toilet paper...

12. Nice shoes won't be nice by the end of the night.

13. Don't fall victim of purchasing Jeffrey Campbell's, I'm seriously begging you because I don't know why I did.

14. Liquor before beer and you are literally in the clear.

15. If you can't taste the alcohol in your cup, you're screwed.

16. Make sure you actually know the frat house you're in, you'd be surprised how many girls don't. (Learn the Greek alphabet!)

17. Don't go exploring upstairs by yourself.

18. Never single yourself out by "acting" like a freshman.

19. You will sweat so don't get dolled up like it's prom.

20. Don’t leave with people you DIDN'T come with WITHOUT telling those you DID come with.

21. Not every frat boy is your stereotypical "frat boy" and you *might* even end up in a relationship with one.

22. ...but a good chunk of them will be stereotypical.

23. Don't fall in love with the first brother to tell you you're pretty, or the ninth.

24. Don't yell at pledges who don't serve you booze, they're such innocent creatures.

25. Embrace each friendship you make or strengthen in the bathroom.

26. Sorry, frats are nothing like you see in the movies.

27. Even if you're a familiar face, you will never gain control of the music playing unless you're a friend or girlfriend.

28. Don't go to a frat when heartbroken unless you know you can control your drunk emotions.

29. Bring cash for later!!!

30. Make the best of each night out with your girls because senior year will come pretty damn quick.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
