30 Realistic New Year's Resolutions

The new year means there will be a first for everything, even some New Year's resolutions.

Never in my entire life have I sat down and written out a list of the cliche and ever-so-popular redos (as I like to call them), better known as New Year's resolutions. However, as I enter my 20th year of life and embark into the first full year of not being a teenager anymore, I can't help but to think to myself, "Why the hell not? Let's set some goals." So, without further ado, here is my list of realistic expectations for the new year. Hopefully you can find a few to try on your own. Enjoy, friends.

1. Mend friendships.

2. Make new friends.

3. Don't hold any grudges...

4. Especially against sisters.

5. Be a better daughter.

6. Smile more and get rid of the dreaded RBF.

7. Pay for a stranger's meal.

8. Be the best girlfriend I can be.

9. Don't worry about the little things.

9. Control my anxiety.

10. Get a 3.0 this semester.

11. Cook a meal all by myself.

12. ...without burning it.

13. ...or giving up and buying a pizza instead.

14. Be there to drop my little brother off at freshman move in for college.

15. Go to a lot of my little brother's golf matches.

16. Don't worry about what other people want from me, only do what will make me happy.

17. Audition for "The Voice" (second time's the charm right?... Or third. We'll see.)

18. Grow my hair out without getting sick of waiting and chopping it off... again.

19. Also, become more patient.

20. Don't sweat the small stuff (because really, it's all small stuff.)

21. Spend a weekend in Chicago with my BFF (dat's for you, Caity Pats.)

22. Take a vacation somewhere nice.

23. Go on a fancy date downtown.

24. Save up my money instead of blowing it on dumb stuff.

25. Get a tattoo.

26. Don't throw up on my 21st birthday celebration (lol, right.)

27. Make myself proud to be who I am and be comfortable with who I am.

28. GET THE ABS I HAD IN HIGH SCHOOL BACK!

29. Continue to fall in love more and more every day with my best friend.

30. Spend NYE in Chicago or NYC, either will do.

31. (Bonus one for myself) Be you. Don't settle for anything less than that. You had a rough 2015, but I know you'll make 2016 your year. You got this, gurl.
