Whether you're an avid baseball fan or baseball player, there is something about the sport that shapes who you are. Given the fact that people say, "Your personality and maturity comes from how you were raised by your parents", it also could be from being involved with the sport of baseball in some way. Here are three reasons why you need baseball in your life as not only a man, but a genuine person.

1. Baseball Improves Mental Toughness

"Baseball is 90 percent mental and the other half is physical" -Yogi Berra

As stated above from Hall of Famer, New York Yankees catcher Yogi Berra, baseball is all mental. How you use your mentality when stepping up to the plate or reacting to a bad play you made is all part of the great game of baseball. It shows how mentally tough you are. If you aren't mentally tough, then you'll get an ear full from your coach until you can prove that you can move past bad plays and what not.

2. Baseball Improves Communication Skills

In order to be a good player but better yet a great teammate, you have to be an excellent communicator, You have to call people off and talk to others and help each other on and off the field.

3. Baseball Shows Leadership

The greatest baseball players are leaders. Leaders are people who will do anything to help the team win and take complete control of the team. Picking up someone after a bad play or giving a high five to the guy you're battling with in your position, shows great leadership skills which is a great quality to have in life.

With these three reasons, it's a little taste of why you need baseball in your life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
