Since I was born, I have lived just a twenty-minute ferry ride from Manhattan.
Growing up near this city, I’ve learned to function independently and constantly be aware of my surroundings. I have (somewhat) mastered the in’s and out’s of long commutes and developed a deeper appreciation for my diverse environment. I still consider myself a tourist here, and I am always eager to investigate the new crevices of Manhattan.
From finding a hidden waterfall in Greenacre Park to hunting down the newest vegan restaurants in the West Village, the ceaseless excitement of my home has cultivated my passion for exploration. Living away from home for the past few weeks has caused me to yearn for my favorite city spots, specifically those in lower Manhattan.
