Ladies...have you ever wondered how to get a guy's attention? Why a certain guy just seems to think you're invisible but can't stop staring at your coworker, your classmate or anyone else other than you? Have you ever thought that maybe they aren't ready for you yet?

Two years ago, I attended my little brother's high school graduation trip where he had a bunch of his friends travel to Palm Springs and spend the week cavorting through a resort and doing whatever they pleased. It was pretty entertaining that out of the 12 friends that he brought with him, the 9 guys absolutely outnumbered the 3 girls. As I sat around observing these 3 girls, I couldn't help but notice how different these girls were and how their boyfriends also had completely different personalities.

That's when I saw it. These 3 girls, represent the three phases of women that most men date through their lifetime: the Trophy Wife, the Mom and the Best Friend.

The Trophy Wife Phase

This is the type of girl that ALMOST every guy starts off with when they start dating. They want a girl they can show off to their friends and stare at all day long. She's going to be an absolutely drop dead, beautiful girl, even if she's not the girl they'd like to bring home to their parents or have the most intelligent conservations with...but hey, she's hot right!?

The Mom Phase

After guys move on from the Trophy Wife stage, (which, not all guys do obviously), they then move on to the stage where they want a girl who treats them like their mom. She'll cook for him, clean after them, give them massages, take care of all their needs and desires, with no complaints! What more could you ask for! She's also a beautiful girl, which catches the guy's eye, but what keeps him around is that she'll never let him stay hungry.

The Best Friend Phase

Last but not least, if men are able to pass through the trophy wife AND the mom phase, they will end up in the best friend phase. This girl is just as beautiful as all the other girls, but she's not as aware of it as the others. She's humble, grounded, loves to go on adventures, be spontaneous and stay up late having long, deep talks about life. She's the kind of girl you can't wait to take home to your mom, to have beers with when you have her meet your friends, the one who will take a leap of faith with you when you follow your dreams. In the end, she'll end up not just being the one you love, but also your best friend.

Now guys, before y'all start getting offended...think about it. Look back at your exes and tell me I'm wrong. I'm not saying one phase is better than the other, because as men grow up and mature, girls do too and grow out of wanting to be a trophy wife or a mom.

So ladies, next time that guy you can't stop thinking about won't even make eye contact with you, just think that while you want to take trips and have a life partner, he still just wants a pretty face to show off to his friends

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
