Troy isn’t perfect, we all know that. But that doesn’t mean we should forget all the good things about it! Hopefully this list will help you remember all the great things about the city.
1.) Downtown Coffee Shops
My personal favorites are Spill’n the Beans and The Daily Grind. They’re cute little treasures that serve good coffee and are fun to hang out.
2.) Snowman’s Ice Cream
I don’t care how many commercials I see for Guptill’s! Snowman’s will always have my heart (and stomach).

Everyone loves a good hockey game and RPI is the best team around.
5.) Oakwood Cemetery
You can’t deny that the cemetery is beautiful.
6.) Valleycats Game
A little trip to Joe Bruno stadium is sort of like an MLB game right in your backyard.
7.) Rockin’ On The River
Wednesday nights over the summer mean one thing… Rockin’. Have fun getting dressed up to see all your friends and take tons of pictures!
8.) School Pride
Whether you’re in high school or college, you’re proud of where you go to school. So wear your school colors with pride!
9.) Hudson Valley
Aah, Harvard on the Hudson. I know some people dread going there, but HVCC really is one of the best community colleges out there. That’s something to be proud of!
10.) Bowling
Which is better: Hilltop, Alpha, or Uncle Sam lanes?
11.) Runs to Dunkin'
Everyone seems to be obsessed with morning runs to Dunkin', but I don’t blame them. Dunkin' > Starbucks any day.
12.) Fall Foliage
No matter where you look in autumn, the leaves are changing colors all over the place!
13.) Frear Park
Shoutout to this place for always being there every year for prom pictures. You’re the real MVP.
14.) The Hudson River
Yeah, we all know the water is disgusting, but it can look pretty sometimes.
15.) Bella Napoli Bakery
The best cookies, cakes, and breads. If I could eat there every day, I definitely would.
16.) Bonfires
“Is anyone having a fire tonight?” “Wanna have a fire?” “Let’s go to a fire” “Oh my gosh! So at the fire last night…”
