25 Thoughts On Move-In Day
Forbes

Move-in day is the best and worst time of the year. Students are ready to get away from home and back in to their no-curfew, eat whatever they want, do whatever they want lifestyle. But at the same time, they don't want to actually go to school again. Despite mixed emotions, move in day always comes around and college kids are full of many different thoughts.

Here are a few.

1. I can't wait to get back to school and away from my overprotective parents.

2. Crap, I forgot to buy my parking pass.

3. Oh well, campus security will never notice.

4. I brought way too much junk and not enough books...

5. Here's to making my bed for the first (and only) time this semester!

6. Do we really need textbooks?

7. Or are they just a suggestion?

8. Either way, I am NOT paying $300 for that "Intro to Psychology" book.

9. I have to buy an online access code too?!

10. Why did I CHOOSE to go to college?

11. Oh no, mom won't stop hugging me.

12. Byeee mom and dad, see ya on fall break. (maybe)

13. Eh, might as well check out the caf, it might be better this year.

14. Ew... definitely not better.

15. Hey, at least they still have ice cream!

16. I am really not looking forward to that 8 a.m. tomorrow.

17. Maybe I will get up earlier and go to the gym.

18. Haha, just kidding.

19. I really should get in shape this semester, though.

20. Actually, maybe next semester.

21. Why isn't toilet paper included in our dorms?

22. Tuition costs more than I've spent in my whole life yet there's no sign of toilet paper.

23. Bright side, wifi.

24. A parking ticket on the first day of school?! COME ON.

25. So... How long until fall break again?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
