25 Things To Do After The 25th

So this is Christmas... or so the song goes.

I will literally be depressed about Christmas being over until July, maybe even October, who knows.

But I know I'm not the only one who feels the after Christmas Blues. Here's a few tips and tricks to wipe away those post-Christmas tears:

1. Eat Leftovers

2. Sit in your room and stare at your presents

3. Go to the movies and watch all the new movies

4. Go to the mall for after-Christmas deals

5. Wear new clothes to all the places

6. Get drunk off of leftover holiday wine (drink responsibly)

7. Hang out with friends from home/make new friends

8. Wrap yourself in big blanket and lay under your tree and never move (until Thanksgiving)

9. Burn Christmas tree

10. Use fire to make s'mores

11. Make New Year's plans

12. Buy a New Year's Eve outfit with new gift cards

13. Go to Starbucks with all your new Starbucks gift cards (I know you got em)

14. Go for a jog, ya know, holiday weight

15. Play with your dog

16. Come up with New Year's resolutions

17. take advantage of the IHOP holiday menu still going on

18. Watch an entire Netflix series before 2017

19. Get a tan and surprise your friends

20. Return all ugly sweaters or put them away until next year

21. Use Christmas lights for DIY New Year's outfit

22. Write a list of the best things that happened in 2016

23. 2016 is almost over, yay

24. Throw a Boxing Day party

25. Sleep, you earned it

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
