25 Things You Should Actually Thank Your Boyfriend For

Dear Boyfriend,

I could write a long sappy love note about all the reasons you are so wonderful and special to me, but that's not what this is going to be. You do hundreds of cute special things for me, and I am extremely thankful for that, but this is a thank you for all the things you really should be thanked for. Especially the not so cute things.

1. Thank you for playing with my hair, anytime, anyplace.

2. Thank you for spending hours shoe shopping with me.

3. Thank you for opening the door for me, even when I complain about being able to do it for myself.

4. Thank you for holding my hand in public, especially when I look like I just walked out of bed.

5. Thank you for pretending to be an adult with me, and accepting that adulting at 20 sucks.

6. Thank you for taking cliché couple pictures and not getting embarrassed at all my cheesy Instagram captions.

7. Thank you for listening to me complain about what the douchey frat guy said to me last week and for promising to beat him up if he ever says anything mean to me again.

8. Thank you for driving an hour just to cuddle and watch New Girl with me.

9. Thank you for always offering me ice cream-- You are the real MVP for that.

10. Thank you for still cuddling with me even though you know your girl hates shaving her legs in the winter.

11. Thank you for also petting them like a small dog when I actually do shave them.

12. Thank you for listening to me sing (scream) Taylor Swift songs in the car, even though I know you hate her.

13. Thank you for singing "She Will Be Loved" with me in the car so I can relive my childhood dreams of being Miley Cyrus.

14. Thank you for calling to talk to me at 1 am so I will actually write my 12-page paper.

15. Thank you for trying to understand Greek Life and my sorority.

16. Thank you for not making fun of how bad I drive every time we are in the car together.

17. Thank you for not forcing me to do physical activities with you; I just can't work out.

18. Thank you for listening to me complain about school and all the people in it, even if you haven't met most of them.

19. Thank you for adventuring cool places with me, even though they aren't always your thing.

20. Thank you for loving my family. They are a little crazy sometimes but thank you for loving them anyways.

21. Thank you for calling me beautiful, even when I look like 13-year-old boy.

22. Thank you for laughing at all my lame jokes. All of them, literally all of them.

23. Thank you for pretending to let me win the tickle fights, that's right I know you let me win.

24. Thank you for acknowledging my burps are superior to yours, and for the high fives.

25. Thank you for reading and sharing all my articles, you are truly the best support system I could ever have.

Boyfriend, Thank you for everything you do for me big or small. Please know I appreciate it more than anything in the world. Thank you for being my best friend, and the MVP of all boyfriends. You make me happier than I ever thought a boy could. Here is to all the memories and to the crazy stuff we'll do next.

I love you,

Your super cool girlfriend

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
