1.Family Traditions- whether it is a recipe or holiday tradition, it’s something that makes your family unique

2.Pints of ice cream- sometimes a scoop just isn’t enough

3.Your health- even on days when you don’t feel all that great

4.Peanut butter- because it can make anything taste good

5.Netflix- especially on days that you don’t feel like leaving your bed

6.Your siblings- as annoying as they may seem

7.Google- for when you have a stupid, random question that nobody seems to know the answer to

8.The fall- nothing beats sweater weather, apple cider donuts and pumpkin patches

9.Coffee.

10.Your pet- because they’ll cuddle with you, no matter what

11.The vibrant colors of the falling leaves- nothings prettier that the bold fall colors

12.Home- especially after being away for a long time

13.Free time- because it’s always nice to relax after a busy day

14.Pants with elastic waistbands- because who’s actually comfortable wearing any other type of pant

15.Sunsets

16.Family vacations- because they’re the root of your best family memories

17.The friend that you’re (too) comfortable around- nobody else can bring out your weird side

18.Lazy Sunday mornings- nothing is better than sleeping in, having breakfast in bed, and watching Nexflix after a long week

20.Online shopping- because what’s better than being able to shop from the comfort of your bed

21.Your favorite sweatshirt- we all have at least one and nothing is more comfortable

22.Christmas movies- you're never too old to cozy up and watch Christmas movies

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
