I love music. I listen to it every day, and play tracks over and over again until I become tired of them, and then find new tracks and immediately become obsessed. Finding new music is a hobby of mine, and it is always exciting when I discover a new artist, or when a artist I like comes out with new music. What I love most about music is that you can tell a lot about a person based on the music that they listen to. Since there are so many musical genres and artists out there, it is no surprise that the music industry has become so broad. Here are some of my top tracks that I have discovered and have been listening nonstop and that you should consider adding to your playlist, too.

1. Say It by Flume, Tove Lo

From Flume's new album that came out this year, this collaboration proves that Flume is going to become big in 2017.

2. Mustang Kids by Zella Day ft. Baby E

Although Zella Day's album Kicker came out last year and this song was featured on it, she is becoming a cool addition to alternative rock with her 1970s vibe.

3. Life Itself by Glass Animals

Glass Animals never disappoints with with their unique sound.

4. Dark Necessities by Red Hot Chili Peppers

From their new album The Getaway, Dark Necessities made me love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I immediately listened to their other albums.

5. Divinity by Porter Robinson, Amy Millan

I was never a fan of Porter Robinson until a friend recommended that I check out their music. I love how it is like EDM but it is more chill.

6. Roman Holiday by Halsey

I have been a fan of Halsey since 2015, and she is definitely becoming more popular especially with her new song Closer by the Chainsmokers. Her album Badlands is a must listen, and all of the tracks are great, it was hard to choose on I liked. Roman Holiday reminds me of travelling, so it is perfect for the summer. She just played at Red Rocks this summer, and I am excited to see if she will come out with another album in 2017.

7. Strangers by Seven Lions, Myon & Shane, Tove Lo

I just discovered Seven Lions, but their music is amazing, and I would recommend it if you are a fan of ODESZA.

8. Bloom by ODESZA

ODESZA has great electronic tracks that fall into the alternative category. ODESZA also recently performed at the Vertex music festival in Buena Vista, CO.

9. Never Be Like You by Flume, Kai

This track from Flume was featured on their new album, and also has some great remixes.

10. Melody (Radio Mix) by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki, Ummet Ozcan

This is the ultimate EDM track for a party, and is great for dancing. I have gotten more into EDM lately, and tracks like this are really upbeat and make me want to get ready to party.

11. Summer by Marshmello

Marshmello is another artist that is more up and coming in the EDM music scene, so it will be interesting to see what else he produces in the future.

12. The Sound by The 1975

The 1975 is a great alternative rock band, and their new album that came out this year features this song, which is one of my personal favorites. In my opinion, their new album kind of has a new sound compared to their previous album.

13. Stay by Kygo, Maty Noyes

Stay by Kygo is from their new album, Cloud Nine, that came out this year. There are many other great tracks from this album and it is his first full album besides the many collaborations and remixes that have been done before. If you like Kygo, or this song, then the album is worth listening to.

14. R U Mine? by Arctic Monkeys

Although the Arctic Monkey's sophomore album AM came out in 2013, I am still listening to it and loving their music.

15. Indian Summer by Jai Wolf

Jai Wolf is another new artist I just recently discovered, and this song is so unique if you love electronic music.

16. Often (Kygo Remix) by The Weekend

For me, The Weekend never gets old. This remix of Often by Kygo makes the song more upbeat and puts a different spin on it.

17. Gemini Feed by Banks

Banks recently has released some new tracks to tease her new album coming out this year. I am excited for this, because she has not come out with new music since 2014.

18. Prey by The Neighbourhood

Since the release of their new album Wiped Out! in 2015, I have gotten more into The Neighbourhood. Prey is my favorite song off the album.

19. Everglow by Coldplay

I have been a fan of Coldplay for a long time, and since A Head Full of Dreams is their last album, I have been listening to them more. They were just in Denver on August 29th for their last tour.

20. Freak by Lana Del Rey

I love Lana Del Rey, and have been a fan since 2012 when her first album Born to Die came out. When her new album Honeymoon that came out in 2015, I was excited to see what kind of songs would be on it and the stories they would tell.

21. Ocean Eyes (Blackbear Remix) by Billie Ellish, Blackbear

I came across this song, and have enjoyed listening to it. Blackbear is also another artist to check out (who collaborated on this song) if you are into R&B.

22. Did I by Kehlani

I had never really heard of Kehlani until coming across this song. Now she is going on tour with G- Eazy at Red Rocks this month.

23. Dancing on Glass by St. Lucia

This song is so upbeat, and is something I love to dance to. St. Lucia is also a more lesser known artist, but I think they may become more popular in the future.

24. Gold Dust by Galantis

Galantis is another EDM artist that I have recently discovered, and this is my favorite song by them.

25. Hold by Vera Blue

I think that this song is a perfect love song. Vera Blue is an artist that I had never heard of before discovering this song, but I cannot stop listening to this song.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
