25 Reasons To Get Excited For Christmas

While not all of our experiences on Christmas will be the same, chances are, at one time or another, you have seen a typical Christmas Hallmark movie and envisioned the holiday season going a little something like this. Consider this your first "25 Days of Christmas" list:

1. First time you decorate.

2. Putting up the tree.

3. ...and finishing it with the tree topper!

4. ALL the smells, like cedar, pine, cinnamon, apples, fresh sugar cookies, food, peppermint, cranberry, and whatever a "winter snowflake" smells like...

5. Arranging ornaments.

6. Walking into Christmas stores like:

7. Fall clearance...

8. Breaking out the holiday decoration BOXES...with the straight up smell up newspaper and plastic in the air.

9. ALL THE CHRISTMAS SONGS!!!

10. Seeing lights everywhere.

11. Seeing Santa!

12. Decorating Christmas cookies.

13. Coloring EVERYTHING red and green.

14. Countdown til' Christmas.

15. CHRISTMAS PARTIES!!!

16. Time with friends and family.

17. Seeing all the Christmas versions on your favorite shows.

18. CHRISTMAS SWEATERS!!!

19. ALL the Foods!

20. Cutting out snowflakes.

21. Watching Christmas movies.

22. Getting Christmas cards...

23. Shopping for everyone's gifts!

24. Awaiting a white Christmas...

25. "Elf" can officially play ALL. DAY. LONG. without judgement!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
