Hi, precious. I don't know you yet. I don't know if you're a boy or a girl. I don't know who is going to help me create and raise you. But I know that I love you. I love you so much. I want to make a few promises to you now, so you know how much I love you.

10. I promise to support you in anything you choose to do.
11. I promise to discipline you when necessary.
12. I promise to have fun with you.
13. I promise to be your nurse when you are sick.
14. I promise to help you with your homework.
15. I promise to let you make mistakes.
16. I promise to forgive your mistakes.
17. I promise to push you to find your full potential.
18. I promise to take you seriously.
19. I promise to teach you to be independent.
20. I promise to cook your favorite meal on your birthday.
21. I promise to celebrate your accomplishments.
22. I promise to soothe your sorrows.
23. I promise to make memories with you.
24. I promise to provide for you.
25. I promise to love you, no matter what.
I can't promise that I will be perfect, or that I won't make mistakes. I can't promise that I will never be upset with you, but I promise to always kiss you good night. I can't promise that you will never get angry with me, but I promise to always apologize for my wrongdoings. I can't promise that you will have everything you want, but I promise you will have everything you need. I can't promise that you will not know sadness, but I promise to be your shoulder to cry on. I can't promise that you will be perfect at everything, but I promise to cheer you on. I can't promise that you will like or appreciate all of the rules I set forth for you, but one day you will learn from them. I can promise that you will know that you are loved, and I can't wait to love you unconditionally.
