As many of us know, life can be difficult at times. There are many obstacles that we are forced to face as we become adults. It would be nearly impossible to face these challenges on our own. Many of these things we could not do without our best friends. Sometimes, we forget to say thank you for everything that they do for us.

Dear Best friends,

1. Thank you for bringing me food when I'm sick or just feeling plain lazy.

2. Thank you for the random dance parties. Whether it's a study break from exams, or a Friday night in, dance parties are always a good idea.

3. Thank you for snuggling me when I'm sad.

4. Thank you for reminding that sometimes it's okay to put myself first.

5. Thank you for all the Road Trips.

6. Thank you for letting me visit you and showing me around your hometown.

7. Thank you for introducing me to your families and friends from back home.

8. Thank you for helping me get through break ups.

9. Thank you for sending me the ugliest/funniest snap chats and trusting me not to screenshot it. (I do anyway)

10. Thank you for laughing at all my jokes and making up words with me.

11. Thank you for knowing my Dunkin Donuts order by heart.

12. Thank you for making a fool of yourself with me and dance like no one is watching at parties.

13. Thank you for "swiping" for me when my meal plan runs out for the week.

14. Thank you for facing my problems with me during the most difficult and lowest points in my life.

15. Thank you for saving me on multiple occasions.

16. Thank you for not making me eat alone in public.

17. Thank you for believing in me and encouraging me to do the best that I can do.

18. Thank you for listening to me when I go on a rant. 19. Thank you for being proud of me when I get good grades.

20. Thank you for letting me be myself, and loving me through it all.

21. Thank you for being honest with me.

22. Thank you for not judging me when I order/eat a lot of food.

23. Thanks for all the times you paid for the pizza after a night out.

23. Thanks for not disowning me when I do dumb things.

24. Most importantly, thank you for always having my back.

"My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
