School has been out for over a month and a half. We all have our favorite things that we miss from Towson University.

1. Uptown

You knew this would be the first one. You may be a Dicky's guy or a freshman at Blounge. No matter where you go Uptown, you miss it. Many of your college memories are from Uptown.

2. Kanji

You can never be in a bad mood if Kanji is around taking pictures.

3. Ptux Burritos

Just heaven. No matter how long the line is at Ptux, it will always be worth it.

4. Freedom Square

This is the most relaxing place on campus to study. You also always see people you know when you are here, which makes Towson even better.

5. OTB Happy Hour

The waiters may or may not already know your order.

6. Your Squad

@Ariel @Diksha @Kaitlyn

7. Seasons/Pizzans/Pizza Palace

I don't know where you go to get your late night pizza after a night out, but you have your spot. The waiters expect to see you at least twice on the weekends around 2 AM.

8. TBH (Towson Hot Bagels)

You've craved it since you've left. You even miss being able to have OrderUp deliver your favorite bagel when you were too lazy to drive there.

9. Dages

Rec Room? Turtle? Frats? Snow day? Springtime? Bring it on.

10. $6 Movies at the Cinemark

You're a broke student but where else are you supposed to see Finding Dory for less than $10?

11. Movie Hopping at the Cinemark

Once again, broke students.

12. Doc

Shoutout to Doc for always having that energy.

13. Babe and a Bottle

The best and worst concept ever.

14. Susq Salads

15. Personalized Pizzas at Susq

They added these at the end of last semester and they are amazing.

16. Anything at Susq

Sushi, Chick-Fil-A, Milkshakes, etc. It's magical.

17. MD Flags and US flags EVERYWHERE

Every room has an MD flag because Marylanders love it. No matter where you are from, if you go to Towson, you know what the flag looks like.

18. New Yorkers/Jersey people complaining about Maryland bagels...

19. ...and Maryland pizza...

20. ...and everything. We love you guys though.

Just try to leave your complaints to a minimum. We understand that our pizza/bagels may not be as amazing as it is for you at home, but we can't help it.

21. Getting lost in the LA building.

You may not actually enjoy this, but it's always hilarious being a junior lost in this building.

22. Lost Ubers

How many Ubers have gotten lost trying to pick you up from your apartment complex or anywhere in Towson?

23. Being in Shape

Even though you eat pizza every weekend, Towson has so many hills that it's impossible to not be somewhat in shape.

But you don't miss the construction.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
