When making the decision to go Greek, one will hear a few (or all) of the following things: "You'll have so many connections," "All they do is drink and sleep around," "You'll be involved on campus," "You'll get bad grades because you won't have any free time," etc. While some of these accusations may be true, and others definitely false, I can tell you what you will get out of joining a sorority.
1. Endless babysitting opportunities.
2. Too many photo ops to even count.
3. 100+ closets to choose from.
4. Really good food from your cook, house mom, chef, or catering company.
5. An entire dresser full of oversized T-shirts.
6. An obnoxious amount of sorority paraphernalia.
7. Great glutes and quads from "sorority squatting." Goodbye wall-sits!
8. Backup phones if you lose/break yours.
9. Good laughs. All day, every day.
10. Volunteer opportunities.
11. Team-building skills.
12. Roomies for the next four years.
13. Bridesmaids. (Cliché
, I know.)14. Unlimited rides to and from the bar. (If you're nice!)
15. Study/gym buddies.
16. A lunch/dinner date.
17. Great people skills. Thanks, recruitment!
18. Craftiness.
19. Cocktails/formals, AKA prom, but twice a year, less formal, and 10 times more fun.
20. Themed socials/mixers.
21. Your own personal eBay, minus the shipping/handling costs.
22. Endless smiles, laughs, and memories that will last you a lifetime.
