Few people on this planet have the same best friend throughout their entire lives. In fact, few people even have just onebest friend. When one finds a fellow human that they decide is worthy to be called "best," it's a thing to celebrate. In my life, I have a hard time just celebrating one human. I've been blessed with many. So here are 21 good ways to identify who your reliable humans are in your own life:

1. Naturally, your first besties in life are usually your siblings.

Big sister or best friend?

2. You feel as if you've known them your entire life, even after the first day of meeting them.

3. Together, you're the biggest goofs in all the land.

Ugly pictures for the win.

4. You and your besties seem to equally value the important things in life such as a fancy meal, dressing to impress every once in a while, or even laughing at the most insignificant things.

5. Speaking of laughter, you and your besties share more laughing outbursts than the legal limit. I'm talking full-on-can't-breath-peeing-your-pants gut laughter.

6. Adventure time is the best time with your besties, no matter what the activity turns out to be.

7. You help a bestie out whenever necessary. This ranges from taking the perfect candid snapshot of them for a new Facebook profile picture to assisting in wardrobe malfunctions that come about.

8. And you share clothes. Duh.

9. Eating treats with your besties easily provides the best memories.

Doughnuts, ice cream, brownies, cookies, etc.

10. You expose each other to the best music around.

11. You and your bestie "photoshoot."

Photoshoot (verb) — An activity two people partake in where one takes glamour shots of the other, just for fun.

12. Your jam sessions with your besties in the car are basically American Idol on steroids.

13. Hours are spent Snapchatting one another and then even more hours spent screenshotting every ugly Snapchat of your besties.

Thank you, Snapchat filters.

14. Who needs a valentine when you and your bestie can be each other's.

Dear Bestie, you've captured my heart.

15. Just a look can tell your besties exactly how you're feeling during a particular situation.

16. You and your besties make many plans to take crazy road trips around the country.

Whether you take those trips or not is a different story...

17. Thrifting becomes one of the best ways to get to know one another.

Thrift stores bring out the personality in all of us.

18. Wasting a day lying in bed and having life chats is perfectly acceptable.

19. You and your bestie take selfies on selfies on selfies.

20. True besties stick around your whole life. They start with you and end with you.

From little kiddos to grade school to middle school to high school and beyond!

21. Long-distance besties are real. They are measured by the painful goodbyes you must continually share.

The never ending goodbye embrace between you and your bestie.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
