We will miss so many things about Benedictine College during the next three months, such as friends, independence, and the responsibilities college has given us. There are also quite a few things that we never thought of missing while we were packing up our bags and closing our dorm room door for the last time; here are 21 of those things.

1. The new rec center

You might #boycotttherec but let’s be real, you’ll miss having a gym in walking distance.

2. Not paying real money for coffee

Being able to use dining dollars at Holy Grounds will only result in the death of my bank account this summer when I have to pay real money for coffee.

3. The raven walk

It’s probably the only reason I have decent calf muscles.

4. Complaining about everything on Yik Yak

Oh look, it’s another yak about 1-ply toilet paper and caf food.

5. Close proximity to your crush

They’re super into their faith, beautiful and you’ve been stalking them for the past year.

6. Bible studies

You’re involved in four bible studies on campus but back home the only people who show up to your monthly meetings are you and your best friend’s grandpa.

7. Everyone knowing your business

Believe it or not, your friends back home might not know you’re dating him just because you sat next to each other at church three times in a row.

8. Daylight Donuts

The average donut run- 10pm: Plan to go to Daylight. 12am: Realize you're already tired and it doesn’t open for 2 more hours. 1am: Wonder why it’s not 2am yet. 1:45am: Leave for Daylight. 2am: Stand in line for 30min debating if it was worth it. 2:30am: YES, IT WAS WORTH IT. 2:40am: No, it wasn’t worth it. 3am: Pass out on your bed with glaze still stuck on your lips.

9. The caf

Ok let’s be real, it’s just the workers. And the ice cream. Can I just bring Lynn and the soft serve machine back home with me?

10. The Atchison bridge

It is lit.

11. Daily Mass after 8am

Dear home parish, take notes.

12. Everyone being so dang nice

You forgot that total strangers won’t hold the door for you as you walk into Target like they do at BC.

13. Having lengthy conversations about Sarah Swafford and emotional chastity

You practiced emotional chastity for lent and all of your friends back home still aren’t really sure what that means.

14. The lookout

You’re pretty sure that you and bae truly fell in love there.

15. Sacred Heart Thrift Store

Everything you could ever want for under $5.

16. Your 3am Holy Hour at St. Ben’s

You admit that you didn’t pick the best adoration hour, but you’re just glad there’s perpetual adoration available.

17. Visitation hours

Not having to change out of your batman boxers until noon is definitely a win.

18. Your freshman dorm

It doesn't matter if you hung out in T-nasty, had study parties on your floor lounge in Scho, or made memo-memories in Memorial; you’ll miss hearing people sing in the shower in the community bathrooms and embracing the dorm stereotypes.

19. The Abbey bells

How does one tell time without them?

20. 211

Future ravens will never know 211 like you did since it’s now a campus house.

21. Mass at the Abbey

It doesn’t get better than getting to praise God with your best friends.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
