Okay let's face it, he is an asshole. He ignores your texts, cancels plans with you and treats you as an extreme last resort. So why are you wallowing away alone while he is out living his life? Here are 21 things to remember when he makes you feel like shit.

1. You do not need his love to feel whole.

2. He is going to regret losing you the same way you regret wasting your time on him.

3. There are thousands of guys out there that are less douchey and more attractive.

4. All you have to do is press a button to unfriend him on Facebook, unfollow him on Twitter and Instagram and block his phone number.

5. If he's not thinking about you, then you should not be thinking about him.

6. You can live without him, you've done it before.

7. He is not the sun, you are.

8. I promise you he wasn't your soulmate - just another asshole.

9. Deleting his number is the first step in forgetting about him.

10. If you delete his number then you can't text him when you're drunk and missing him.

11. A glass of wine will make you feel better.

12. Focus on yourself, your career, your family and your friends and good things will follow.

13. You do not need a man to make you happy.

14. An unanswered text means that it is time to move on.

15. The version you have of him in your head is completely different than the real him. Stop putting him on a pedestal and see him for who he really is.

16. You thought you'd never get over your high school boyfriend and you did, which means you will get over this one too.

17. If he texts you out of the blue it is not a sign from the universe. He is probably just drunk and lonely.

18. Stop giving him the benefit of the doubt, he will continue to let you down.

19. Frowning causes wrinkles, so stop being sad over him all of the time.

20. Relationships are supposed to make you happy, not stressed out.

21. Nobody is worth losing yourself over.
