The new year is something we all look forward to and it has come quicker than ever imagined! Many people wish for each year that comes for things to get better, but lack putting in the effort or hard work to make sure it is a good year. I believe in the saying, “Things happen for a reason”, but there is also another part of me which believes nothing will happen unless you make it happen or do something about it.
For 2017 try to take the more hands on approach, which may be out of the norm for many of you. Keep weekly goals on one thing you would like to accomplish. Maybe one week it is to say something positive for three people or lose two pounds. Whatever your goal may be, planning a goal for each week is just asking for success and a good beginning of your year. Also, starting a vision board or making a Ta DA list about everything you have accomplished so far will help spread positivity into each and every day of this spectacular year. By creating visuals for yourself, it makes it much easier to see what you want to accomplish clearly and actually achieve it. So, my advice for this year is instead of relying on fate to make a difference in your life, you make it! Take charge and created a dream life you have always wanted and find happiness within yourself. Take up a hobby, find an interest or just work hard every day to achieve something. Their is nothing wrong with focusing on yourself sometimes because if you create a better version of yourself, it will actually give you more of an opportunity to be better and help other people as well. Create a mission. By the end of this year you need to accomplish one thing, it may be small or large but make one. By doing this you show yourself anything is possible, but most importantly, “ Im-possible.” This is the biggest message you can send to yourself to stay on track with your goals and keep working hard. Find the light in every situation, and if it seems as if there is no light find ways to make it a little bit better than it was.
This article is short and sweet, but mostly because the message I wanted to portray was simple. In order to have a great year you need to make it one! I hope everyone who is reading this makes it their personal mission to do so. I promise, what you give is what you get, so if you put in a lot of effort and hard work into making it a great year, you will definitely have one.
