A 2004 Holiday Wish List

As the holiday's are vastly approaching, us 90s kids are forced to remember the extensive wish list that we prepared for our parents and apologize for the wasted hundreds they spent every year on things we used no more than two times and then forgot about.

1. American Girl Dolls

2. Hit Clips

3. Limited Too Door Bell

4. Portable DVD Player

5. Dream Life Video Game

6. The Sims Expansion Packs

7. Hello Kitty TV

8. Lip Phone

9. Lava Lamps

10. Spice Cam

11. Karaoke Machine

12. Overhead Projector

13. Dance Dance Revolution

14. Nintendo DS

15. Tamagotchi

16. Razor Scooter

17. Easy Bake Oven

18. Webkinz

19. Wacky Packs

20. Iwako Take Apart Erasers

21. Live Strong Bracelets

22. Jibitz for Crocs

23. Beaded Door Curtains

24. iPod Nano

25. Heely's

26. VideoNow

27. Floam

28. PixelChix

29. Dear Diary

30. Bop It

As you read this and nod along, remember the simpler times. Times when 8 year olds weren't walking around with a nicer phone than you and times where a board game actually involved a board and not a computer screen. Throw it back to the hours you spent redecorating your Webkinz home or the time you spent waiting for your VideoNow disc to stop skipping. Happy holidays!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
