1. You have the coolest state flag. There's no debating it. Pretty much everyone you know has the little crab with the state flag sticker on their car.
2. You know the capital is Annapolis, not Baltimore.
3. CRABS
4. Old Bay isn't only for crabs... It goes on chips, fries, popcorn, and anything else you eat.
5. You can take a day trip to an amazingly large variety of places, including the Inner Harbor, Annapolis, DC, Ocean City, Antietam, VA beach, any and all of the Delaware beaches, and pretty much anywhere else in the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
6. You feel an intense connection to Hairspray.
7. "Ocean Shitty" might be trashy, but you don't care because it's like home. (Shoutout to H20, Jolly Rogers, Old Pro Golf, and the drunk bus, haaaay)
8. The Mini-America nickname is frighteningly accurate, whether it's referring to the landscape or the people. You can find mountains, beaches, fields, AND preps and rednecks all in one place.
9. The weather is incredibly unpredictable... 75 and sunny one day, 60 and raining the next, and 30 and snowing the next. You get used to it after a while.
10. You looked at at least 1 of the following schools: College Park, UMBC, Salisbury, or Towson.
11. Camden Yards is 1000x over the best sports complex there will ever be. M&T Bank Stadium is lit up purple all the time, and Oriole Park has an unmatchable atmosphere. Plus, the cohesion between mascots; no one can say it's not sick to have Ravens and Orioles. PS... Cal Ripken. Oh, and Ray Lewis. That is all.
12. While we're talking about sports... you know the intense rivalry between, but also strange identification with, the Washington and Baltimore teams.
13. Lemons and peppermint sticks.
