Growing up, I've learned that life can be very much like a roller coaster, but at the end of the day most of us are satisfied with our own experiences and personal success. At 20, I feel like I am so young yet constantly running out of time before everything "Adult" hits me. Well, surprise, we're already considered adults! So here are some relatable tips and tricks I have picked up along the way. Enjoy!

If you search hard enough, you may find a cookie shop that serves warm cookies and stays open until 3 am.

Your brother/sister is easily one of your best friends.

Don't be afraid of home movies because it 1) can be used as a get out of jail free card 2) reminds your parents how adorable and perfect you used to be.

There is an amount of pizza and mac & cheese that you can consume at once.

Everyone always has the best weight-loss programs out there, but I found if you spend all of your money on makeup, then you don't have any left for food!

Over time you learn not all of your friends will love you as much as you do, but that's why there's an "unfollow" button to click.

The Weekend's lyrics relate to your life & Taylor Swift knows everything about dating, breakups and writing good solo dance party music.

If you find a local coffee joint, you just may find it to be better than Starbucks (yes, read that again).

If more than one sales associate knows your name in Nordstrom and Foot Locker, you probably shop there more than you should.

When you live with your loving grandma there are no secrets, just the ones you two keep from your parents.

No matter how old you are, your father will always love you. If you're lucky, he'll love you so much that he'll only be a phone call away, whether it's to change a flat or come searching for you at 12 am.

As you grow up you also come to find your parents are actually right about everything they taught you as a child...Sleeping as much as you can, eating three times a day, and that you should always save your money because college takes all three of those away from you in one day.

It took me awhile to get this one down, but the guy that looks best on paper isn't always the one you want to be with, and there are men who are very good looking who will treat you like a lady.

You really only need dogs in your life, and you'd be crazy to say losing one isn't like losing your family member.

Never trust the 6 AM version of yourself and be safe by setting 10+ alarms with five minute increments (or maybe this is just me).

No matter how much money you spend or don't spend on a cream sweater, they are nearly impossible to keep clean. Fact.

Turning on rap music and handling it is a real way to deal with things.

Ladies, you will reach a point in life where makeup won't be in the morning routine everyday because you won't have the time.

You will eventually find someone who is as weird as you, and enjoys all of the same things you do (you probably think I'm describing a significant other) and you will learn to love your best friend as your other half.

Of all the previously stated things learned, I can promise you sleep is the only one that matters, because as you get older life really does fly by.

Life can be really really scary, but it always goes on.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
