If you grew up with a German mother or even a German father, this listicle is for you! All of them might apply to you or only some of them, either way you still experienced at least some of these! Being German rocks!

1. If you are not dying, you are going to school

2. Your friends always asked why your mother has an accent and if you were adopted.

3. But your friends loved coming over to your house because it meant they got to eat German food and listen to your mother's accent.

4. You've lost track of how many times you've been to Germany, because you've literally been going since birth!

5. She spoke to you in both German and English, and sometimes you responded in Germlish.

6. You have an unlimited supply of German children's stories and were told stories such as "Der Struwwelpeter" to make sure you behaved.

7. She always made sure you were on time to EVERYTHING!

8. When watching the World Cup you cheered more for Die Mannschaft than the USA team

9. Instead of calling you sweetheart or darling she called you " Püppi Maus" or "Schatz "

10. You've been more to Europe than the States.

11. You ate more potatoes than any of your friends combined.

12. She NEVER made you forget about Oktoberfeast.

13. You would go berry picking in Germany and make homemade jam.

14. Going to Germany meant getting more salami and Kinder Schokolade.

15. You had an unlimited supply of house slippers.

16. Your mother lived in Germany during the Cold War which was super cool because you got to hear of stories such as the fall of the Berlin Wall.

17. You looked forward to Dec. 1 because you got an advent calendar ('cause who doesn't love having chocolate every single day...).

18. You especially loved December because she made Vanillekipferl.

19. December also meant a time for traditional German Christmas music!

20. Best of all, you celebrated Christmas for two days, not one!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
