If your college relationship managed to survive finals, summer is a great opportunity to spend time together and really get to know each other. With warm temperatures and beautiful landscapes, it's the perfect chance to get out of the house and explore together. It doesn't have to be expensive either; many of the options on this list are free or otherwise affordable. Below, you will find some ideas to add to your summer bucket list with your significant other!

1. Go camping.

Getting outside and spending time together is never a bad idea -- find a picturesque spot on a cool evening, make a campfire, and enjoy getting away from it all for awhile.

2. Find a local carnival/fair.

There are plenty of festivals/carnivals correlating with the different summer holidays. Plus, carnival food is amazing.

3. Hang out by the pool.

Don't forget the SPF! No accessible pool? Check out a local hotel and their nightly rates.

4. Tee up on the golf course.

You can rent clubs and a cart if you need them!

5. Go stargazing.

Print out a constellation chart before you leave!

6. Visit the beach (lake or ocean!)

Pack a cooler and make a day out of it.

7. Go on a float trip.

Bring along some other friends and spend a few days floating and camping down the river!

8. Spend a day fishing at the pier.

(No pier necessary!)

9. Visit a botanical garden.

Most larger towns have one, whether you're aware of it or not. They're filled with beautiful, exotic flora to view.

10. Attend an outdoor concert/music festival.

Even if you can't afford Lollapalooza, try a smaller outdoor concert or festival with lesser known artists -- maybe you'll both find a new common interest through it!

11. Watch the fireworks together.

Considering Independence Day is the perfect opportunity to do so, head somewhere where you can get a clear view of them and bring a blanket.

12. Ride bikes.

There are biking trails everywhere -- check Google for the closest one near you, or head to the forest to make your own!

13. Have a barbeque together.

Vegetarian-friendly, too! Pick out tofu or veg patties if needed!

14. Pick berries.

A simple, fun, and unique date idea! Make yummy desserts with your findings, or sneak some plain!

15. Go to an amusement park.

Search for college student discounts for nearby amusement parks to relieve some of the pent up stress from the school year with adrenaline!

16. Go on an ice cream date.

Rising temps make this sweet treat that much better to enjoy together!

17. (21+) Scour a beer garden.

Many beer gardens offer live music, too! Try out local and seasonal selections you can't find at home!

18. Take a ferry ride.

Your mileage may vary on this one, but still a cool opportunity if you get the chance!

19. Rent a sailboat.

Also may not be possible everywhere, but most marinas offer the capability to do so -- check it out!

20. Go to a farmers' market.

Shop local and make a fun meal with whatever you pick up!

Go out and enjoy!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
