Lately, it seems like fall couples are as numerous as the leaves. They're falling everywhere near me: on Instagram, on the path, in my dorm, on Facebook, on TV, and everywhere in between. I fully support and appreciate the burgeoning romances my friends are experiencing, but I also think that it is more important to accept and appreciate my own singleness. While it's easy to long for a different season of life where I may not be single, I would rather spend this time enjoying my singleness and making the most of the season I am presently in.
A big way that society whispers (or shouts) messages that oppose my resolve is through music. A huge fraction of music produced worldwide are love songs or relate to love, so in order to live my present life enjoying singleness, I try to avoid listening to excessive amounts of these hits and instead focus my listening to playlists including songs like the following:
1. Zac Brown Band Feat. Jimmy Buffet - Knee Deep
