Whether it’s the middle of the day or the middle of the night, we all love to pop some headphones in and listen to music during a long car ride or airplane flight. Some people like rock, some people like country, some people like electronic, but everyone loves a good “movie song.” You know what I’m talking about—a song you can listen to, look out the car/plane window and pretend that your life is a movie and that everything and everyone in it understands that you're the main character. C’mon, you know what I’m talking about don’t lie. You’ve all fantasized about your life as a movie at one point or another. You might look out your car window and all you see are cornfields, but then that one song comes on and all you can think about is the boy you like asking you out, getting that big promotion at work or what would happen if you were to just disappear and travel the world—unrealistic scenarios that, sadly, usually only happen in movies. However, I have compiled a list of 15 songs that are the best of the best. Listen to them while staring out the car/plane window and they’ll make you feel like nothing can touch you; like you are at the center of it all; like you alone could cure world hunger. Listen to these 15 songs and I guarantee it will feel like John Hughes has finally written a movie about you.

1. "Unwritten"

By: Natasha Bedingfield

This one’s a classic.

2. “Hymn for the Weekend”

By: Coldplay

Any song about the weekend is bound to make your heart flutter.

3. “Another Day in Paradise”

By: Quinn XCII

I mean come on… the album cover speaks for itself.

4. “Never Be Like You (feat. Kai)”

By: Flume

5. “Something Good Can Work”

By: Two Door Cinema Club

6. “Greek Tragedy”

By: The Wombats

I mean the name of the song is a play genre... use your imagination people!

7. “Memories That You Call (feat. Monsoonsiren)”

By: Odesza

8. “Say My Name”

By: Odesza

Let’s be real—any Odesza song will do.

9. “Believe”

By: Mumford & Sons

This one could be a movie about love, God or maybe just Santa Claus.

10. “It’s Strange (feat. K.Flay)”

By: Louis the Child

Great jam—with or without the headphones.

11. “Sour Patch Kids”

By: Bryce Vine

This one’s best on a sunny summer day.

12. “Naive”

By: The Kooks

In this one you're probably the main character in some indie film who regrets dumping his/her girlfriend/boyfriend after reminiscing about all the good times they had together. Ah young love.

13. “Pumpin Blood”

By: NONONO

14. “All Summer Long”

By: Kid Rock

I mean come on, this song paints the picture for the summer that goes down in history. Who doesn’t wish their life was this movie?

15. “Closing Time”

By: Semisonic

I’m not sure how many movies this song has been in, but I know it’s a lot. If you don’t get the “movie feels” during this song there’s probably something wrong with you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
