Compassion is a quality everyone should obtain throughout their lives. We are taught compassion by our elders, our peers and even through modern day technological advancements in social media. Compassion is having sympathy for the misfortunes of others. Not only is it important to be compassionate to your loved ones, but to strangers as well, because as Steve Maraboli once said “it only takes a split second to smile and forget, yet to someone that needed it, it can last a lifetime”. Maybe one day everyone will possess the quality of compassion, but that will only happen with your help. For everyone to show compassion, one person must start, then from there on everyone else can pat it forward. So I challenge you to look on the bright side, always have a smile on your face, and make sure to bring joy into someones life today, they might go ahead and pass it on. One man can begin to change the world.
