Mere minutes ago, I was sitting in class when I received a CNN update that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who once rocked the world with their illicit love affair following co-starring in the blockbuster hit "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," had filed for divorce. I immediately began to tear up the Internet, looking for whatever curse of hell could’ve torn apart the couple that has given us nothing but hope for the past twelve years. Tabloid after tabloid touted that it was an affair, it was the children, it was a drinking problem—I didn’t care. I just wanted to know why 2016 had to bring us another gut-wrenching tragedy.

As I scrolled aimlessly through Twitter, feeling like an asset to be divided in this horrendous disunion of matrimony, I stumbled upon something that dredged from within the coals of my heart a tiny spark that has seemingly reignited a flame of hopelessly romantic passion for celebrity couples: a tweet from Ryan Reynolds about his wife, Blake Lively. My soul took flight as I remembered that, despite today’s tragic events, there are couples in Hollywood that still set #goals for us romantic plebians.

Dear reader, if you, like I am, are rocked by Brad and Angelina’s sudden demise, look no further--I’ve compiled for you a list of 21 celebrity couples who give us hope (in no particular order).

1. Beyonce and Jay-Z

Sure, they’ve had their speculated rough patches, but talk about a POWER COUPLE.

2. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith

They've been together as long as I've been alive. Unreal dedication.

3. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi

They pretty much define #goals.

4. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

Follow either of them on Instagram. Do it. Now.

5. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

Have you SEEN THEIR CHILDREN?

6. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

They are both beacons of hope in a dark sea. I love them. I wish they were my parents. (Kidding, real parents. Kind of. You get it.)

7. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

Honestly, read any of his tweets about her or their daughter and prepare to fall in love.

8. Courtney B. Vance and Angela Bassett

Did you see his acceptance speech at the Emmys? No? Watch it now.

9. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt

Don't EVEN get me started. Oh my God. Perfection.

10. Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar

I am pretty sure some network just did a special on them because they have been such a successful couple.

11. David and Victoria Beckham

There has never been such a well-dressed couple in the history of the world, ever.

12. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

Every picture I see of them traipsing through New York City together makes my heart sing.

13. Luke Bryan and Caroline Boyer

HIGH. SCHOOL. SWEET. HEARTS. Have you ever heard any of these love songs? *swoon*

14. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

Let us be reminded that he was her first kiss.

15. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill

The way they talk about each other in the media makes me ugly cry with happiness.

16. Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon

One of the most underrated long-term Hollywood couples. Long live.

17. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

They have the most beautiful children in the world.

18. George and Amal Clooney

Anyone that could tie down the world's most eligible bachelor of like, 30 years, deserves an award.

19. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell

I mean, even their DAUGHTER is mega successful.

20. Tom Brady and Gisele Bunchden

Touchdown.

21. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

This video explains it all.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
