Life is stressful. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge that is an idiot.
But it's okay - you don't have to walk around like a stressed out little sea cucumber forever. I've found the solution. Amazon.
Amazon sells everything and anything you can think of and some of those products are designed to relieve your stress and calm you down. So don't fret my friendly little pickles, here are 20 Amazon products to turn any salty mermaid into a zen master.
1. The Ostrich Pillow
Okay so this one is weird but I did promise weird. It's essentially sensory depravation to help you sleep in loud environments, like on planes, trains and in automobiles (or maybe even a noisy office). It provides quiet for relaxation and a pillow all in one. Beats using a hoodie.
2. Westminster Electronic Perpetual Motion Toy
These have kept me entertained in random doctors' offices for years. Having one of your own is a dream come true. They're absolutely mesmerizing and they definitely take my stress away.
3. Toysmith Deluxe Zen Garden
Okay so I've seen adults play with these since the mid 90's and some of them swear by these things. They're supposed to promote calm and relaxation by using focus. You pay attention to how you want your mini zen garden to look and your stress melts away because you're too busy worrying about your zen garden to care. The jury is still out on this one, but there are more fun versions, like little beaches and sandboxes.
4. Classic Bunny Slippers
The logic behind this one is easy. You get home after a seriously stressful day at work, the dog is barking, the cat is meowing, your boss is emailing and you have absolutely no time for yoga. Slip into these adorable little babies and put your feet up. They come in a variety of different animals, pick your favorite!
5. Finish This Book / Wreck This Journal
These are awesome therapy books. I own both and it's so therapeutic to completely destroy them in the way the book suggests. Using all sorts of mediums, you turn the journals into a piece of art. One page each day should definitely help you relax. Both and more created by Keri Smith.
6. KINGOU Magic Wooden Puzzle
I had one of these in my house - albeit slightly different - from the moment I was born and it became my life's mission to finish it. I never did, but you can. It's definitely a great form of stress relief. There are tons of different models and shapes. Pick your favorite or try and solve them all.
7. Catapult Kit
So let's say you're more the destructive type - y'know, breaking plates and causing mayhem and all that - and that relaxes you. Well, you can cause mini-mayhem with this tiny Leo da Vinci catapult kit. I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't want this. Go buy it. Right now. Mine's en route.
8. Beaches by Gray Malin
Who says picture books are for kids? This glorious book of beaches and people laying and playing on them covers damn near the entire world. Imagining yourself under one of those umbrellas on a beach in Mexico surrounded by beautiful blue water and other tourists can only make you relax.
9. Organic Dead Sea Mud Mask
It's been a long day at work, dealing with whomever you have to deal with all day, and you just want to unwind, so you put on your bunny slippers and decide to pamper yourself with this mud mask. Sounds like a great night in to me.
10. Chill Pill Phone Case
Just a visual reminder for you to keep it real and calm down throughout the day. Another writer for my community has this in keychain form. Definitely available in Android and iPhone versions.
11. Hakuna Matata Poster
It means no worries! Hakuna Matata is just one of the many, many phrases made by Serif Design Studio, and there's definitely one to fit your personality. Hakuna Matata is mine, what's yours?
12. ARCHEER Essential Oil Diffuser
Not only is this thing beautiful, it lights up and changes colors! Essential oil humidifiers and diffusers are some of mankind's most wonderful creations. Just lying back in your bed and relaxing, listening to some calming music and letting the scent of sandalwood fill your room? Glorious.
13. Bulbasaur Succulent Planter
This is precious. How could anyone possibly be upset while looking at this little dude? Succulents are notoriously hard to kill, require very little care, and just look at the little guy! He'd brighten up my day for sure.
14. Pusheen Sleep Mask
Too bright to nap in your office or place of work? Wanna nap during the day, but that pesky sunlight just keeps you awake? Fear not. Here's a way to keep the sun out and look cute as hell doing it.
15. Bath Bombs
Literally any bath bomb. I'm not gonna tell you which ones to pick because you know what you like, but definitely one from Lush. They all smell amazing and you feel like a goddess when you get out of the tub.
16. Tranquility Tea
So I've never tried this particular flavor of tea but Teavana is the brand you always wanna get. Formerly it's own entity, it was bought by Starbucks and has only the highest qualiTEA (dad joke, sorry) products. From black tea to white tea, green tea to rooibos, you'll never be disappointed.
17. Fidget Cube
I know fidget spinners are hot, but fidget cubes are even hotter. For people like me with ADHD or severe anxiety, it helps calm the mind by giving the hands something to do. Available in all sorts of colors and this 12-sided version!
18. Himalayan Salt Candle Holder
So we all know that salt lamps are supposed to promote relaxation but let me tell you something: they work. I have one of my own and it's the best gift I've ever gotten (thanks, Mom). These candle holders are perfect for you to burn your own candles in.
19. Micro Landscape Planter
Is this not one of the cutest things you've ever seen in your life? Aside from being freakin' adorable, it also has different levels. Plant whatever you like in your tiny little village and smile whenever you see it on your desk.
20. Motorized Solar System
It's a mini Solar System that moves. Need I say more?
Good luck de-stressing everyone!
