Everyone says to get a dog, but no one tells you how hard it is to actually own one... Becoming a parent to a dog isn't for everyone, and here's a list of possible reasons why owning a furry friend is definitely not for you!

1. If you don't like cuddling

From the couch to your bed, count on endless cuddles for hours on end.

2. Or wet kisses.

Because those are endless too.

3. If sharing isn't your thing.

Like your food, your bed... You know, basically everything.

4. If you're able to deal with stress on your own, then owning a dog is completely pointless.

They're used as therapy dogs and are major stress relievers. But, I mean, if you've got that under control, then why would you need a dog?

5. If you don't want to be greeted at the door everyday.

If the thought of coming home after a long day of work or school and being greeted by puppy hugs and kisses annoys you, then please, do NOT get a dog!

6. If working out alone is better for you.

I mean, if you want to lift weights or walk the treadmill alone, then you do you.

7. If you don't like fun car rides.

Seriously, if you like lonely car rides with the windows up, there is absolutely no way you could own a dog.

8.Or bike rides.

9. Or skateboarding.

10. If you don't want an adventure companion.

If you want to go on hikes, camping trips, or road trips without a lovable fur friend with you (who won't say anything annoying in the car), then yeah, just don't even think about the word "dog."

11. Obviously you like taking selfies alone.

No one's judging you. But, you obviously enjoy taking pictures of just yourself, without someone to spice things up a bit.

12. If you think you are totally capable of taking care of your child without any help whatsoever, even when your back is turned.

13. If you don't want someone guarding your baby, then you probably don't want someone guarding your food while you're away.

Basically, you're just a ninja, so you have no reason to get a dog.

14. Their excitement for the simple things in life like going for a walk is just too much for you to handle.

Okay, their excitement for ANYTHING is just too much for you to handle.

15. We get it, you're a lone wolf, and don't need a furry companion.

16. You don't enjoy happiness.

17. You're allergic to having fun.

Contact your doctor if you've recently come in contact with any breed of dog.

18. Having a animal that loves you unconditionally just isn't for you.

If you can't handle having someone love you probably more than you love yourself, then seriously, do NOT get a dog.

I'm just kidding. Everyone needs a dog, they are wonderful.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
